It's a piece of "Heaven" up here. Superbly isolated with mountain air that's a complete tonic from eastern humidity. Great base of operations for day trips to Leadville, Georgetown and Vail, all of which were enjoyable in their own ways...The stay was glorious, beautiful place.

The mountains are an incredible playground for kids and teens and the PVL is located the perfect area for that. A State Wetlands area is across the road with fish, meandering stream, beaver lodges, etc to spend hours exploring.
The reservoir is within hiking distance for fishing. Behind the reservior is a old mining building and many waterfalls. The trail along the water goes to the top of 3 mountains over 14,000 feet!
Inside the PVL are numerous games, books, movies, a Foosball table and a Air Hockey table for entertainment.
We have had kids build forts with the firewood logs for hours of fun.
Also, we keep sleds in the downstairs closet for awesome sledding right by the house!
