Is 4WD needed at the PVL?

The Colorado Rockies experience the extreme moods of Mother Nature and the PVL is located at 10,700 on county maintained roads.  The area has some of the best skiing in the world and that means snow and ice!

We require that guests drive a 4WD vehicle while staying at the the PVL.  Of course it is your choice whether you do or not. We do retain a snowplowing service for the driveway, but fall/winter/spring driving conditions in the area can be challenging!
